Day 01: Fly from Kathmandu/Ramechhap to Lukla and Trek to Phakding

On the first day, you will begin your adventure with an early breakfast at your hotel in Kathmandu before being driven to Kathmandu Airport for a scenic 35-minute flight to Lukla, a small mountain airport. Upon landing, you’ll meet your trekking guide and porters. After a satisfying lunch, you’ll embark on a trek to Phakding. The trek takes approximately 4 hours, winding through picturesque cedar and pine forests alongside the Dudh Koshi River. You’ll enjoy a delightful Nepali dinner and stay overnight at a teahouse in Phakding.

Day 02: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar

After breakfast at the lodge, you will continue your trek along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing it multiple times. Entering Sagarmatha National Park in Monjo, you will pause for lunch before heading towards Namche Bazaar. The trail is surrounded by beautiful pine forests, and after several hours of trekking, Namche will come into view. This vibrant town, situated at 3,440 meters, serves as a central hub in the Khumbu region, where you can find everything from Tibetan souvenirs to mountaineering gear. You’ll spend the night in Namche Bazaar.

Day 03: Rest Day at Namche Bazaar for Acclimatization

Today is designated as an acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar to help your body adjust to the altitude. Rather than resting completely, you’ll embark on short hikes to places like Thame or Khunde, or explore the local town. With various cafes, banks, and shops, Namche offers ample opportunities to learn about Sherpa culture. You may also choose to visit the Sherpa Cultural Museum or the Everest View Hotel for breathtaking views of the Himalayas. After a day of exploration, you will return to your lodge for another night in Namche.

Day 04: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

After breakfast, you’ll set off early for Tengboche, a short trek to Phunki Thenga followed by an ascent to the famous Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the Everest region. The path offers spectacular views of the surrounding peaks, including Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. If you arrive by 3 PM, you can witness a Buddhist religious ceremony at the monastery. You’ll spend the night in a teahouse in Tengboche.

Day 05: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche

On this day, you’ll trek from Tengboche to Dingboche, located at an elevation of 4,350 meters. The trail begins with a climb before descending through Rhododendron forests, then gradually ascending toward Pangboche, where you’ll stop for lunch. Afterward, you’ll continue up the Imja Valley, arriving in Dingboche after approximately 5 to 6 hours of trekking. The lodge where you’ll stay for the night is located on the outskirts of the town, providing stunning views of the surrounding landscapes.

Day 06: Acclimatization Day at Dingboche

You will spend another night in Dingboche to further acclimatize. This morning, you will hike for about two hours to a local hilltop at 4,900 meters, enjoying magnificent views of Ama Dablam, Island Peak, Lhotse, and other nearby mountains. It is important to spend some time at this altitude to prepare your body for the heights to come. After lunch back in Dingboche, you’ll have the rest of the afternoon to relax and hydrate.

Day 07: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll begin your trek from Dingboche to Lobuche. The steady descent to Pheriche is accompanied by stunning views of Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Tawache, and Ama Dablam. As you pass through Thukla and cross a small bridge, you’ll encounter a memorial for climbers who lost their lives in the region. The trail then steeply ascends toward Lobuche, where you’ll spend the night in a teahouse after a rewarding 5 to 6 hours of hiking.

Day 08: Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep

This day marks the highlight of your trek as you make your way to Everest Base Camp. After breakfast, you will follow a rocky moraine trail past stunning glacial ponds and icebergs leading to Gorakshep, where you’ll stop for lunch and drop off your gear. Continuing toward EBC, you’ll be greeted by the sight of colorful mountaineers’ tents against the stark surroundings. After taking pictures and soaking in the views of Nuptse, Khumbutse, and Pumori, you will trek back to Gorakshep for a restful night.

Day 09: Morning Hike from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar and Trek to Dingboche

As you near your climbing goal, today’s trek will take you toward Island Peak Base Camp. Departing from Dingboche, you will enjoy the stunning views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Nuptse as you ascend through the Imja Valley. The path takes you past Chhukung before leading to a level sand plain in front of Island Peak. Day 11: Acclimatization and Exploration at Island Peak Base Camp

Day 15: Trek from Dingboche to Namche Bazaar

Day 16: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla and Fly to Kathmandu

On your final day of trekking, you’ll descend from Namche Bazaar back to Lukla, where you’ll have lunch before boarding your flight back to Kathmandu.
