OVERVIEW

Manaslu Trek is one of Nepal's most exotic expeditions, taking you through the restricted and mysterious region surrounding Mount Manaslu, the eighth-highest peak in the world. Starting at Machha Khola, this route is strictly regulated and offers an adventure for experienced travelers seeking striking scenery and authentic cultural immersion. The journey begins with a 12-hour drive from Kathmandu, although road conditions may require an overnight stay in Soti Khola before continuing. This trek is renowned for its remote, untouched landscapes and is a favorite among trekking enthusiasts. One of the highlights of the trek is the spectacular Larkya La Pass, offering impressive views and a chance to explore the untouched beauty of the Manaslu region. Along the way, trekkers experience the local culture and traditions in a setting that feels far removed from modern life. Several permits, including the MCAP (Manaslu Conservation Area Permit) and ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Permit), are required and can be obtained in Kathmandu or Pokhara. Due to the challenging terrain, an experienced guide is essential to navigate the dense forests and rugged landscapes of the region.
