Your adventure begins in Kathmandu, the vibrant capital of Nepal. After checking in to your hotel in Thamel, the lively tourist hub, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Pokhara. The route offers picturesque views of rivers, forests, and hills, providing a glimpse of the natural beauty that awaits you. Upon reaching Pokhara, if time permits, you can explore the lakeside and enjoy its enchanting nightlife.
After a hearty breakfast, you will drive to Nayapul, taking in the stunning alpine scenery. The trek from Nayapul to Ulleri involves a moderate hike through picturesque bridges, villages, and glacial rivers. On clear days, you’ll catch glimpses of Machapuchare and other peaks. Arriving in Ulleri, you’ll check into a local tea house for a cozy dinner and a restful night.
Day three is one of the trek’s most challenging, featuring a steep ascent of approximately 2,500 to 3,000 stone steps from Ulleri to Ghorepani. As you navigate this trail, you’ll be rewarded with lush forest views and diverse wildlife. Upon reaching Ghorepani, the views of the Himalayan range will leave you in awe. Enjoy a well-deserved dinner and prepare for an early start the next day.
This is the day to rise early and hike to Poon Hill, a renowned viewpoint for a spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas. After soaking in the breathtaking views, the trail takes you through rhododendron forests towards Tadapani. After a fulfilling day of trekking, you’ll enjoy a hearty meal and a good night’s rest at a mountain lodge.
Leaving Tadapani, today’s hike to Ghandruk is filled with beautiful scenery and glimpses of traditional Gurung houses. You’ll traverse through cool forests, eventually arriving in the Gurung community of Ghandruk. Take some time to visit the local museum and learn about the culture and history of this ethnic group. Enjoy dinner and settle into your lodge for the night.
After breakfast, you’ll trek through lush hillsides and terraced rice fields back to Nayapul. Along the way, the views of snow-capped peaks like Macchapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and the Annapurnas will accompany you. Once in Nayapul, a private vehicle will transport you back to Pokhara, where you can relax, shop for souvenirs, or enjoy local cuisine.
On your final day, your staff will assist you with your luggage as you head back to Kathmandu. After checking into your hotel, take time to refresh. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner with your team, sharing stories and memories from your unforgettable trek, and celebrating the experiences you’ve gained throughout your journey.
